Electrotherapy Treatment

Electrotherapy is the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. Used to treat disorders relating to muscles, ligaments and/or bones, Gold Standard's key Electrotherapy service is known as Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, or TENS for short.

By blocking certain messages to the brain, TENS has the power to relieve pain, thus enabling the patient to live their life to the fullest. A very effective alternative to painkillers, TENS is commonly used to treat chronic pain such as arthritis, labour pain, lower back pain and phantom pain.
